Role:
There are two distinct functions of the
Chairperson, the Executive role and the Ambassador role. To chair meetings and
act as principal officer throughout the year by making decisions whenever the
need arises in consultation with other officers when appropriate. The incumbent
should attend meetings in a neutral and uncommitted capacity to enable members
of the BRFC Junior Section Committee to have discussions with a neutral person
in the Chair.
Duties:
- To provide direction for the BRFC Junior Section by
effective leadership and management.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of agreed actions both
short term and strategic.
- Ensure that succession and forward planning are integral
in the Junior Section.
- Manage other BRFC Junior Section Officers to ensure the
delivery of their responsibilities.
- Ensure that the Junior Section structure and management
are transparent and available to all members of the Junior Section.
- Chair meetings of the Junior Section Committee.
- Act as a focal point for external agencies in
conjunction with the Secretary.
- Represent the Junior Section at Senior Club committee
meetings and/or County meetings.
- Provide the Club Webmaster with any relevant information
for publication on the Club website.
- Any other tasks to ensure the smooth running of the
Junior Section
- Work with and support the Dorset & Wilts RFU
Constituent Body.
