Coaching Up Dates

To All Blandford RFC players

You may be aware that the IRB have been running trials with new Experimental Law Variations (ELV`S) in the southern hemisphere.

They have now published a document regarding these ELV`s, & the principles behind them.

There has been a lot of debate regarding some of these ELV`s, especially the collapse of the maul. The RFU have yet to make a final decision regarding the implementation of the ELV`s, but in preparation we should consider how the changes would affect our play & your playing style.

Please read the document, I will try and help if you have any questions regarding the proposed changes.

If they go ahead, as seems likely, I will try and enlist the help of a local ref to come to a pre-season training session to go over these changes.

Blandford RFC are pleased to offer an RFU Non Award Coaching Course on CONTACT & TACKLING SAFELY.
To be held on Saturday April 5th at Blandford RFC grounds (Blandford School) starting at 10.00am. Arrive at 9.30am for introductions & coffee.
Course will cover major aspects of contact & tackling & will last between 2 & 3 hours.
Cost will be £5.00 per person to cover costs & is open coaches, parents & players & anyone interested in starting coaching.
